He is best known for competing in Survivor: One World and Survivor: Game Changers. On the show, Troy was commonly referred to as Troyzan.

Troy Robertson was born and raised in Ellensburg, Washington, a small town in Kittitas County. He was enrolled in the Central Valley High School in Spokane.
During this period, he developed a deep interest in photography. Troy Robertson bought his first camera when he was seventeen years old and soon became a self-taught photographer.
After finishing high school, he attended Westen Washington University. In 1983, Troy Robertson toured Guatemala to capture photographs of the natives residing in the rainforest.
Soon, he became a well-known photographer throughout Europe as he traveled all over the globe on photography assignments.
Troy Robertson’s photography has been featured in numerous magazines and publications, like Sports Illustrated. For this particular publication, he photographed swimsuit models, which were starred in Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue.
